Full Moon Social Paddle
Late evening paddle to catch the full moon - Sunday 22nd August. Meet at 7:15pm (for 7:45pm launch).
Let's celebrate the full moon with a twilight paddle with friends. The sun sets at 8:14pm, moon rise is 8:57pm, so let's plan to be ready to launch at 7:45pm. High tide is 7.36pm
We'll plan to be on the water 2 to 2 1/2 hrs, so we'll be getting back 10:00-10:30pm.
We will probably head out to the second dolphin, red bell or perhaps the yellow wave machine - depending on the weather. We will paddle together as a group.
You MUST bring a water proof light or headlamp
Feel free to gather on the beach for a social after cleaning and storing the equipment.
Make sure you have a key to re-enter the compound after 9 pm.
Covid-19 protocols are in effect at Jericho Sailing Centre and Club Locarno.
Face masks are optional mask while in the compound, but maintain physical distancing, wash hands often and be kind!
Note: This event is weather dependent. Watch the Kayak Slack Channel for last minute changes. We will cancel if there is heavy cloud cover or rain.
