This year there will be a 5KM, 10KM and 25KM (Around Passage Island). We welcome all rowers, kayakers, SUP's, surf-ski's and canoes. There will be some time restrictions for the Passage Island Course, set by the Harbour Master.
There will also be plenty of fun for family that includes a BBQ, all ages on water derby, beer garden, music and more!
Classifications will follow that of Sound Rowers:http://soundrowers.org/BoatClasses.aspx and will require a minimum of 3 entrants for each category to make a classification.
Cost: The cost for entry is $15.00 the week (August 17) of the event and $10.00 for early signup. The entry fee covers race fee and BBQ. Clublocarno members sign up is $10.
Prizes: there will be plenty of prizes for draw and key prizes for top categories. The value of the first prize is around $500. The number of prizes will be determined by the number of entrants.
Age Limit: This regatta is open to everyone 15 years and older. Those between the ages of 15-18 will require parental consent.
If you require overnight stay there is the Jericho Hostel International located 2 minute walk from JSCA compound, boats would be stored in the compound. You may also be able to pitch your tent on the compound but arrangements and permission would need to be received ahead of time.
