Basic Cruising (Self Study Option) keel boat sailing on board a Martin 242. The course will cover an introduction to keel boats with some theory, rules of the road and safety. There will be a certain amount of self study required between classes to optimize class time.
The prerequisite is CanSail 2. The cost is $464.00, which includes A CLUB LOCARNO DISCOUNT OF 15% OFF THE POSTED PRICE!! (IF we are able to find 4 people to register and pay, the discount increases to 25%!!) Class size is limited to 4 persons.
The course will run Oct 3,10 1800hr-2000hr and Oct 5,6,12 0900hr-1300hr out of the Kitsilano Yacht Club.
You will need to bring foul weather gear, gloves, warm hat, and dress in layers. Wet suits are optional.
