Howe Sound - Overnight Kayak Trip

This is a classic, and stunningly beautiful, overnight trip in Howe Sound.

We will launch at Porteau Cove on the Saturday morning, and paddle across to a stunning (and usually quiet) campsite on Gambier, via Anvil.  On Sunday morning we will launch early-ish to beat the thermal winds, and if weather allows, explore the coast of Anvil Island before returning to Porteau Cove. (Approx. 15km each day.)

We plan to meet at JSCA in the members' lounge on Wednesday evening (July 18th) to confirm logistics.

Pre-requisites: Checked out for kayak fleet, moderate fitness,  comfortable in a moderate wind (10-15kn), practiced rescues in the past 12 months.
