Unfortunately, the wind forecast for Hood River is not looking great. Instead we may do a club trip to Squamish; either a single day or two day trip and camp. If you're interested you are welcome to register here and you'll receive a link to our trip planning and ride sharing documents.

As Hood River is more of an "individual" style of trip, of course any club member who still prefers to go is free to do so subject to the restrictions of taking club gear as noted below.

Several members are planning to travel to Hood River, Oregon during their annual Beach Bash (http://gorgewindsurfing.org/events/beachbash) celebration. This is not an "official" club trip in the sense that only members who have bought their high-wind pass and have been given permission by the windsurfing director will be allowed to take club gear. However all other members are welcome to join in and take advantage of the low cost gear demos.

Over the Saturday and Sunday there will be unlimited demos of windsurfing and SUP equipment at the Event Site for free or low cost ($10 a day?). Outside of this, daily/multi-day windsurfing gear rentals are available at one of the local board shops, Big Winds or Windance but you have to be able to transport the gear to the sailing locations and rig/de-rig. Big Winds also has more beginner friendly gear for rent by the hour at the Hook.

Windsurfers who have purchased their high-wind pass are welcome to take club equipment with prior permission from the windsurfing director but the overall amount of gear allowed to leave the club will be limited.

More detailed information on this windsurfing destination is available here.
