Taser Racing Clinic

  • 18 Jul 2015
  • 12:30
  • Meet at NW Room at JSCA

Julian Hannabuss and Brian Key, two of the best Taser sailors at JSCA will be running a racing clinic on Saturday July 18th.

The clinic is intended for sailors who have already tried Taser racing and are looking to improve their sailing and racing skills. Novices are welcome, but you should be comfortable helming a Taser through a tack and gybe to benefit from the clinic (you still have a couple of weeks to learn this).

No need to register here. If you would like to attend, please e-mail nigel.ball@vch.ca ASAP!

Here is the planned schedule:

Meet at 12:30pm in the NW room upstairs at JSCA for a briefing and discussion of racing start techniques.

On land demonstration of how to set your Taser for racing up wind and down wind.

Launch at 2pm for the first race at 2:30pm.

Mike Cotter has kindly agreed to get Jericho Rescue to lay a short racing course for us and will provide the Jericho rescue zodiak as a coach boat that Brian will use to give you pointers as you sail around the course.

4:30pm retire to the patio for beer, junk food and a session of friendly exaggeration.
