Keyless Access Project

Our door access system uses JSCA photo-ID cards, instead of keys, to:

• increase convenience (everyday and at membership renewal time)
• lower operational costs (we were spending about $1000/year on keys)
• improve security.

Some history:

• Dec. 2007, Design efforts began.
• June-July 2008, re-designed.
• July-Sept. 2008, parts hunting/purchasing.
• Aug. 2008, installation began
• Sept. 2008, main clubroom and sailing door operational.
• Sept. 2008, wireless communications link to kayak/rowing hut installed.
• Oct. 2008, kayak/rowing hut operational.
• June. 2009, windsurfing trench finished, cable laid, cement, workparty
• July 8, 2009, windsurfing container main door operational.
