About ClubLocarno

ClubLocarno is a non-profit, member-run club offering sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, rowing, surf skiing and stand up paddling. We have top-notch equipment in all our fleets, so you can enjoy outstanding water sports year-round. With relatively low membership fees, we provide all the equipment (watercraft, lifejackets, harnesses, sails, paddles, pumps, etc) and training you'll need to get out on the water, with the exception of personal items such as clothing (wetsuit, jackets, etc) and a safety whistle.

We are based in The Jericho Sailing Centre, on the south side of beautiful English Bay, where we can enjoy our favourite water activities, a beachfront patio, breathtaking sunsets, and panoramic views of the North Shore mountains, Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver.

ClubLocarno accommodates both beginners and experienced water sport enthusiasts. Our Members are required to be 19 years of age or older, and to pitch in a bit in the volunteer operation of the club. For example, volunteers help run parties, maintain and repair watercraft, manage a fleet, and can run to be on the Executive. With everyone pitching in, and with no paid staff, we're able to keep our membership fees very affordable.
