Hangar Party! Saturday July 11th:
If you only come to one club party this year, make it this one! This could be legendary. We're pitching-in with the UBC Sailing Club this year to make the hangar party bigger than ever.
- Advance tickets are available at the discounted price of only $8 for ClubLocarno members and their guests.
- Please contact one of the Social Directors or the Commodore through the Contact Us page to purchase.
- Tickets are also available through the JSCA office for $12 in advance (let them know you are a ClubLocarno member).

There is still room in some of our fleets!
Each season ClubLocarno accepts only a limted number of members in order to maintain a healthy ratio of members to equipment. Also, please note that lessons and clincs occur mainly in Apr/May/June, in order to get members trained and on the water in the early part of the season, and also to make the best use of limited volunteer resources. Please check below for the status of each fleet before submitting your application form. This status is current as of July 03, 2009 .
Windsurfing. The Windsurfing fleet has spots available. Lessons are also readily available, and checkout clinics occur most Wednesday evenings. Join the Windsurfing Fleet to enjoy a selection of beginner through advanced equipment, including pre-rigged sails, stand-up paddling, two new boards that have just arrived, and a club trip to Nitinat Lake July 31 - Aug 3.
Rowing. The Rowing Fleet has spots avaliable. First check the Rowing webpage for availability of any lesson/clinics that you are interested in.
Kayaking. The Kayaking Fleet has spots avaliable. First check the Kayaking webpage for availability of any lesson/clinics that you are interested in.
Sailing. There are only a couple of spots left for the last session of Beginner lessons starting July 6. Check the Sailing webpage for availability of lessons. Returning members may still apply for membership, but first check the Sailing webpage for availability of any clinics that you are interested in.

About ClubLocarno
ClubLocarno is a non-profit, member-run club offering sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, rowing, surf skiing and stand up paddling. We have top-notch equipment in all our fleets, so you can enjoy outstanding water sports year-round. With relatively low membership fees, we provide all the equipment (watercraft, lifejackets, harnesses, sails, paddles, pumps, etc) and training you'll need to get out on the water, with the exception of personal items such as clothing (wetsuit, jackets, etc) and a safety whistle.
We are based in The Jericho Sailing Centre, on the south side of beautiful English Bay, where we can enjoy our favourite water activities, a beachfront patio, breathtaking sunsets, and panoramic views of the North Shore mountains, Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver.
ClubLocarno accommodates both beginners and experienced water sport enthusiasts. Our Members are required to be 19 years of age or older, and to pitch in a bit in the volunteer operation of the club. For example, volunteers help run parties, maintain and repair watercraft, manage a fleet, and can run to be on the Executive. With everyone pitching in, and with no paid staff, we're able to keep our membership fees very affordable. New Gear for 2009
New gear for our Sailing fleet for this coming season includes: An RS500 (two person spinnaker monohull), an additional Laser (one-person monohull) with race rigging, a new Tasar (two-person monohull). Our Windsurfing, Rowing and Kayaking fleets will also see additions of brand new equipment. Check back here for updates or subscribe to our mailing list below.
